Simon & Garfunkel

Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel dulu merupakan duo "Tom & Jerry" yang terbentuk sekitar tahun 60-an saat mereka masih muda. Saat mereka sudah dewasa, duo ini ganti nama menjadi "Simon & Garfunkel". Lagu-lagu yang mereka ciptakan memiliki lirik yang bermakna, dipadukan dengan musik yang berbeda-beda genre, ada yang rock, pop, country, bahkan ballad. Suara tinggi Art Garfunkel dan suara rendah dan permainan gitar Paul Simon yang memadu harmoni menjadi daya tarik duo ini.

Namun sayang, karena konflik, duo ini terpecah dan mereka menjalankan karir masing-masing. Meskipun demikian, Simon & Garfunkel kadang-kadang muncul bersama untuk menyelenggarakan konser bersama.

Lagu "The Sound of Silence" telah menyita perhatianku. Mulai dari judul yang digunakan, itu sudah menarik, "Suara Keheningan". Suara apa yang ada dalam keheningan? Apa maksud dari lagu ini?
